How it works when planning a kitchen

David Glover Furniture in Devon offer standard kitchens as well as bespoke kitchens. We want to give you the kitchen that you want.

The Kitchens

The standard kitchens that we supply are sourced from a company based in Exeter. They are made from the Egger range of 18mm thick MFC with a 2-3mm thick matching edge. The backs minimum of 8mm thick.

The Doors

The standard doors that we supply and fit include doors by Burbidge, PWS, andTKC. We also offer shaker style doors made from one piece of moisture resistant 22mm MDF. The benefit of these are that they dont crack on the join lines, as there are no joins. These can be finished in any colour. All the hinges used are Blum and have soft close action.

Worktops

We can fit kitchens with worktops from the Axiom range. These are 40mm thick worktops with upstands and splashbacks available in most colours. Or we can provide detailed drawings and obtain quotations on your behalf for granite, slate, silestone, caeserstone etc. We then pass the details on to yourselves and you can deal direct with the stone suppliers, they come and make templates and return when the stone is made. This way, you as the customer get better value dealing direct with the stone specialist as we dont 'mark up' their prices.

Appliances

We can obtain most appliances, however we find that it more cost effective for the customer to order these. We can order any of the Caple range of appliances.

Sinks and Taps

Again, we can obtain most sinks and taps, but we find it more cost effective for the customer to order these, or we can order any of the Caple range of sink and Taps.

Fitting

We fit the Kitchens, we do not sub-contract this out. As we are furniture makers, we specialise in that, and leave the rest to plumbers, electricians, tilers who are all specialists in their own trades. Again we can recommend companies for you to obtain your own quotations.
